I gave my boy up for adoption in 2004. He was only 2 days old. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, and with every passing day, I wish I could turn back the clock. I miss him so much, and I wish I knew where he was and how he is doing. I wake up every morning, my heart broken by the knowledge that my son is out there some where, with some one that is not his mother.
I used to wish it away - the memory of my son, but now that I have had another boy, I realise the enormity of what I did all those years ago. I was only 19 when I gave up my boy. It all happened so fast. When I think back now, I wish I had the guts to stand up to my family and bring my child home. I wish I had just gone with my heart. What kind of person am I for leaving my child to strangers??
I hope some day he will forgive me.
