 Adoption Stories
Story from a biological mother
I became a mother for the first time at 16 years of age - I gave birth to a son on 7 May 1976 in Durban at the Mothers Hospital. I saw my baby only twice before I was discharged from hospital. I signed the papers for his adoption in Durban six weeks later - and not a day goes by without wondering.....................

I had a further four children from my marriage - a son of 22, another of 17, a daughter of 16 and another son of 12! They know that I had a child before them - and I have been honest with them about the emotions that go with it. Nothing, not even time, heals the pain - and I often wonder what has become of him - how his life turned out?

Story from biological mother
By  [10.09.2005 02:04 - Rae]
Hi Vivien, I was adopted and the best thing I did was trace my biological mom. So...look for him, don't keep on wondering and causing more heartache. You can't make up for last time but you can start from today.
